Mark R. Bell, M.D., FACEP

President
Mark R. Bell, M.D., F.A.C.E.P. is a graduate from the Chicago Medical School. His undergraduate training was at Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, California. Mark completed residency in Emergency Medicine at University California at Irvine in 1996 and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Following residency, Dr. Bell went into private practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles and soon partnered with Dr. Irv Edwards at Emergent Medical Associates. Through a dedication to quality, service, and efficient patient care, their emergency department management company grew from 5,000 patient visits per year, to more than 700,000 over the next decade. Mark is also the President and co-founder of IAMG Hospitalists, a hospitalist company based in Los Angeles, Managing Partner of Avanti Hospitals, and President of Pipeline, a hospital management consulting firm. He sits on various boards including the Marconi Foundation, Huntington Beach Hospital, and Goals for Life.

Dr. Bell’s expertise is particularly strong in emergency department and in-patient efficiencies, customer service, paramedic outreach, strategic planning, and business development. He spends much of his time teaching physicians the skills required to succeed in administrative management and leadership. He has published on many topics, including pediatric cardiology, nutrition, and emergency medicine reimbursement, and frequently lectures on subjects most interesting to him such as The History of Nuclear Biological and Chemical Warfare, EMTALA, the Field Management of the Unknown Overdose, and the effect of efficient hospital care on morbidity and mortality. Dr. Bell is an active and entrepreneurial physician, hospital advocate, and represents his colleagues in issues on a regional and national level. When he’s not working, Dr. Bell enjoys surfing, cycling, and traveling with his family. He’s married to Dr. Camela Ott, and has two children Luke and Dominic.

Irv Edwards, M.D., FACEP

Principal
Dr. Irv Edwards obtained his Bachelor's Degree from McGill University and his Medical Degree from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. He came to Los Angeles to pursue his interest in Emergency Medicine and interned at Los Angeles County Hospital. After his internship, Dr. Edwards completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

Following his residency, Dr. Edwards pursued private practice at a variety of hospital sites in Los Angeles and Orange Counties including Chino Valley Medical Center, Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, Mission Community Hospital, Montclair Hospital Medical Center, Olympia Medical Center, Sherman Oaks Hospital, and Valley Presbyterian Hospital. He was the Director of Performance Improvement at Mission Community Hospital from 1998 – 2003 and he currently serves as the Director of Case Management at Mission Community Hospital and as the Chief of Staff at Chino Valley Medical Center. He is the Director of Emergency Services at Chino Valley Medical Center, Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, Mission Community Hospital, and Montclair Hospital Medical Center.

In 1989, Dr. Edwards founded Emergent Medical Associates and has served as its President since inception. Since 2001, Dr. Edwards has been a dedicated member of CAL/ACEP and he currently sits on their Executive Board. He served as its President from 2005-2006.

G. Scott Brewster, M.D., FACEP

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. G. Scott Brewster received his undergraduate training at UC Santa Barbara. He graduated with his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. In 1995 he returned to his native Southern California where he completed both an Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency at UCLA Medical Center. His final year he acted as Chief Resident for the UCLA/OVMC Residency Program. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

In 2000 he joined the Emergency Department faculty at Olive View - UCLA Medical Center where he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor, UCLA School of Medicine. He was the Director of Critical Care and Director of Medical Student Education. In 2001 he joined the Emergency Department Faculty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he continued his administrative and academic pursuits. He joined EMA in 2003, becoming the Medical Director at the Providence Tarzana Emergency Department. He spent several years as the Director of Recruiting before moving into his current position as the Chief Medical Officer at IAMG.

Murlikrishna Kannan, M.D. FRCA

Managing Director
Currently serving as the Regional Director of Anesthesia at IAMG • Residency Trained at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India • Previously served as the Director of Regional Anesthesia for Mt. Sinai Centre in Miami

Jared Chase, D.O.

UHS, Regional Director for Anesthesia
Dr. Jared Chase, DO, is a Regional Medical Director at IAMG, where he brings his expertise in anesthesia operations and perioperative services to the forefront. He graduated with a B.A. in English and minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University in 2005, and later obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. Following his education, Dr. Chase completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Cleveland Clinic in 2014. Since then, Dr. Chase has held significant leadership positions, serving as the Chair of the Division of Anesthesiology at Rancho Springs Hospital and Inland Valley Hospital since 2017 and as the Medical Director at Temecula Valley Day Surgery. Prior to joining IAMG, he was a Regional Medical Director at Envision Physician Services. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Chase has exhibited his dedication to enhancing patient care, optimizing operations, and ensuring top-tier anesthesia services.

Ari L. Nagler

Chief Executive Officer
Ari Nagler has spent the last two decades building high-performing teams and efficient companies in healthcare, service, retail and hi-tech. He's a previous business owner and M&A executive having closed over 50 transactions for himself and his clients. He possessess a B.S. degree with emphasis in Management and Organizational Development, from Cornell University.

Eugene Veksler

Chief Financial Officer
A member of IAMG management team since 2019, Eugene Veksler has oversight responsibilities for the finance function. Prior to joining IAMG staff, Eugene held various financial positions within Eisner Health, StarPoint Properties, The Walt Disney Company, and The Clorox Company. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Eugene graduated from a Health Care Executive Program at UCLA in 2013 and is scheduled to graduate from a Business Analytics Program at Harvard University by 2020.

Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of analytical reporting, project management and corporate initiatives • Previous experience in multi-national public and private organizations, leading financial operations on several continents • B.A. in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, M.B.A. in Finance from University of Colorado, Boulder.

Nancy Garcia

Chief Administrative Officer
Responsible for overseeing daily administrative operations and human resource management • Previous experience in business management specializing in the entertainment and apparel industry • B.S. in Accounting, California State University, Northridge

Kristi Tucker

Chief Provider Relations Officer
Responsible for Recruiting, Credentialing and Scheduling • First employee, helping the company grow from a single contract to its size today • B.S. in Health Administration, University of Phoenix

Shweta Patel, Esq.

General Counsel
Responsible for managing and leading internal legal matters • Prior experience within the medical/healthcare industry; medical malpractice defense; Assistant GC for a for-profit healthcare organization • J.D. from Southwestern Law School / B.A. in International Studies with a focus on Business Management, University of California, Irvine

Shahram Farahvash, M.D.

Medical Director – Valley Presbyterian Hospital
Dr. Farahvash completed medical school at Tehran Azad University of Medical Sciences, completed anesthesia residency at NUMC/Long Island Jewish Medical Center and his pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin.

He started working at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in August 2013 as a pediatric anesthesiologist and took over as the chairman of anesthesia department in June 2015.

Kellie Morris, D.O.

Medical Director – Corona Regional Medical Center
Dr. Morris completed medical school at Western University of Health Science/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, completed anesthesia residency at Riverside University Health System Medical Center and her Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She started working at Corona Regional Medical Center in July 2020 as an anesthesiologist and became Site Director/Chief of Anesthesia in February of 2022.

Sameer Khan, M.D.

Medical Director – Emanate Health Inter-Community Hospital
Sameer Khan, M.D. is an Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Medicine Intensivist with subspecialty focus on pain management, advanced heart failure and hemodynamics. He completed his undergraduate training at Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He obtained his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University and completed his residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Khan went on to Stanford University, where he completed his fellowship training. Following his tenure at Stanford University, Dr. Khan accepted a position at the University of Southern California as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.  

Dr. Khan has published and presented on many topics, including advanced heart failure, organ transplantation, hemodynamics and extracorporeal life support. He serves as consultant for BD medical devices. Dr. Khan's expertise is particularly strong in perioperative and critical care medicine quality and outcome optimization, hospital process improvement, data analytics and medical perioperative protocol efficiency. With a strong background in teaching, Dr. Khan enjoys working with physicians to succeed in medical leadership, perioperative patient advocacy and patient satisfaction. He serves as medical staff with the Critical Care Medicine department at Hoag Hospital. In 2022, Dr. Khan accepted the position of Medical Director of Anesthesiology at Emanate Health-Intercommunity Hospital. When he is not working, Dr. Khan enjoys cycling, snowboarding, swimming and playing the guitar.

Raymond Tran, MD

Associate Director of Anesthesia Services – Pier Anesthesia Group
Dr. Raymond Tran, MD, is an accomplished Anesthesiologist with a distinguished career in healthcare. He earned his medical degree from Ross University and subsequently completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth in Boston.

With a wealth of experience, Dr. Tran has held several prominent leadership roles in the medical field. He has previously served as the Vice Chair of Surgery at Centinela Hospital, where he played a pivotal role in shaping surgical practices. Additionally, he held the position of Director of Anesthesia at Centinela Hospital, ensuring the highest standards of care in anesthesia services. Furthermore, Dr. Tran has a history of leadership as the Department Chair of Anesthesia at St. Francis Medical Center, where his expertise contributed to the advancement of the department.

Currently, Dr. Tran serves as the Associate Director of Anesthesia Services for Pier Anesthesia Group, where he continues to demonstrate his commitment to excellence in anesthesia care. In this role, he oversees anesthesia services at several Prime Healthcare facilities, including Chino Valley Medical Center, San Dimas Community Hospital, and Montclair Hospital Medical Center.
